Talking about this today just after writing about Abu Dhabi may sound overloaded, but I have changed my mind as soon as I arrived to Dubai. Yes, because after being impressed by the skyscrapers of the first city that I have visited during my travel in the United Arab Emirates, I felt even more surprised as soon as I arrived to this place surrounded by the desert.
Dubai has developed itself upwards; if you take a moment to think about the fact that just a few years ago this place was dominated by the silence of the desert, it seems incredible to see the city as it is now. Technology and world records galore. Almost everything has been built and designed to be taller, lighter, stronger and bigger. Within the last years this race towards achieving world records has shaped a number of projects that have been sponsored by the government itself. Once in Dubai you will keep your nose upwards, as you will be looking up in the sky for the whole time – as if the ground was invisible. I am so looking forward to showing you the view of the city from Burj Khalifa – I will visit it in the next few days.

See you tomorrow
